WHAT IS TITLE IX?
Title IX is a federal civil rights law in the United States of America that was passed as part of the Education Amendments of 1972. This is Public Law No. 92‑318, 86 Stat. 235, codified at 20 U.S.C. §§
This law simply states that no person in the United States shall be discriminated against, excluded from, or denied benefits, based on sex under any education program or activities.

STAFF
FACULTY
WHAT IS SEXUAL MISCONDUCT
Domestic Violence - violent or aggressive behavior, typically involving the violent abuse of a spouse or partner.
Teen Dating - physical, sexual, or psychological / emotional abuse within a dating relationship among adolescents
Sexual Discrimination - treating someone differently or unfavorably based on sex or choice of sex by any student or staff.
Sexual Violence - forced physical sexual acts.
Sexual Assault - when a person is forced, coerced, or manipulated into any unwanted sexual activity.
Sexual Harassment - Unwelcomed, unwanted, unsolicited sex or gender based verbal or physical conduct
Stalking - Course of conduct directed at a specific individual that is unwelcome and would cause a “reasonable person to feel fear”
Bullying or Cyberbullying - Repeated and/or severe aggressive behaviors that intimidate or intentionally harm or control another person physically or emotionally.
HOW TO FILE A COMPLAINT
If a person feels their right has been violated they are entitled to file a complaint. At which the complaint will go to the Title IX Coordinator and an investigation may take place.

This completed form will be sent directly to the Title IX Coordinator. They will then start an assessment within the next 72 hours.
A person may also contact local law enforcement. However, local law enforcement will conduct their own investigation along with enforcing any of their rulings.
MANDATORY REPORTERS
Responsible employees (staff, faculty, coaches, etc.) are able to help provide emotional support and direct the victim to the appropriate resources. The responsible employees are required by law to notify the Title IX Coordinator of any sexual misconduct that they may have received notice of. By law all staff are mandatory reporters.
The district will not tolerate any retaliation against any person filing a complaint.
